this doesnt deserve a 7. CGI is good but the story is a total mess. The original movie had a much better story. Even the Ghost in the Shell Arise series had a better origin story.

There were a few scenes they've directly copied from the original movie though.

The existential, identity & privacy questions the original movie and series raises were not even touched in this version.
