Hoshi o Oui Kodomo

Makoto Shinkai seems to be paying homage to Miayazaki with this visual masterpiece. The scenery is extremely rich and is on par with Miyazaki's works. The story is definitely Shinkai's own as it still about people and not nature.
This is a must watch for Shinkai or Miyazaki fans. Even non anime fans can enjoy it as its sort of a coming of age movie with stunning scenery.

Effing great film, gotta love slightly insane but deeply passionate people ride the good ol' downward spiral sort of films

Obviously Martin Lawrence has been the spirit of this comedy. You wouldnt catch a super funny dialog or scene but his acting
