Watched Touch of Evil

Watched the restored version from 98, which as close to the director's cut as it'll ever get (there is no true director's cut of this movie).
Brilliant movie. Can be considered almost a noir movie.

Brilliant movie. Can be considered almost a noir movie.

it has the famous opening three-minute, thirty second continuous tracking shot..did u notice it?

I'm watching them on my 32inch LCD TV with no problems...

Difference is its a TV and u watch it from 5 feet away at least.i watch them in my computer room.
if i go 5 feet backward i will encounter my bed.that's for sleeping purpose

well, DUH! watch the movies while being on your bed..
Far more enjoyable than sitting in front of a table.

The Ninth Gate (1999)-Roman Polanski- 6.6/10 IMDB my rating 85%

Watched this again after a few years.After first viewing i thought this was yet another thriller with entertainment .And IMDB rating also will reflect that.
(one of my friend, he is obliviously a movie freak like me.LOL! recently watched this and said he was confused.So i gave it an another go.)
Simply a great director of modern times like Polanski cant produce a bad movie.This movie required a hell lot of understanding to capture the true intention of the director.I must admit that he didnt care what ordinary audience would capture.And he missed so badly and Ninth gate is only a cult classic!

What i can say is that i will add this to my list of most mind blowing movies of recent past

Unless I'm mistaken, the story is pretty straight forward isnt it ? the oldman who hires Depp's character is trying to raise satan using the method stated in all 3 of old books.

movie is about Lucifer finding her partner.Depp is the partner ..
the mysterious girl is Lucifer!!
while old man tries to summon him.Lucifer is out there.and satan is female this time
