Beautiful film, but still Red Cliff is way way better than this for me

Gotto check House of Flying Daggers as well. However its unfortunate that none of the Sri Lankan artists ever managed to depict the Ancient values as it is. China is lucky to have people like Ang Lee and Specially John Woo.

And too bad this one had a good promotion while you have to struggle to find a decent torrent of Red Cliff.

in recent times, yes. the genre had died down since the 70s and there were no big budget movies of the genre until Lee made a huge success with CTHD.

If u are interested in Zhang Yimou films these are his best ,i like Raise the Red Lantern and House of Flying Daggers more out of four
