will it be a boring for a person who hasnt watched much 80's movies?

not if you watch with an open mind..its well directed and acted..it needs a good deal of attention.
movie is mostly an analysis of main characters psyche id say. nothing exciting really takes place in the plot its mostly the development of this one character and even though its said to be a bit depressing its occasionally funny.
good luck seeing it, it won't disappoint. and i do think it's influenced movies like fight club or memento.
