That movie is all bout concept and philosophy

Can u recall that someone says that real world is just bunch of electric signal ?
That means every time we see or feel something it comes as just a sequence of neuron signal which is electrical
and brain decode it as pain or picture or something .

If someone manage to forge or reproduce the same signals and convey it to the brain that someone can fake the real which is whats happening in a matrix.

In budhism also it says all the trouble cause just bcz we dont see the world. Which means we are living another kinda matrix even right now where we rely on glosses

So my point is the some concepts and philosophy in that movie are adopted by Buddhism which is obvious for anyone who aware of Buddhism concept not orange colored සිවුරු

I've type this much bcz there cud be at least one viewer who realize what Im saying :P

that's your personal opinion and you are entitled to it :) mine is something similar but there's no buddhism in it. I just think that movie says how we have become slaves to a world full of stuff we don't need to survive just for the sake of commercialism and owing so much to machines and computers, note the fact that neo is a computer programmer and honestly computer programmers are like modern day slaves...the matrix, the virtual reality created by all that to keep us slaves to the system in order to provide fuel for its own futuer and goodwill in the movie can be interpreted by modern day human who take up office jobs and other shitty jobs that don't matter just to uphold commercialism..I mean seriously do we need half the things we care so much for today for our survival? all the fancy foods and fancy clothes and furniture ? but we choose to over-work worrying about shit that don't matter cos we can buy shit we don't need (I'm kind of quoting tyler durden from fight club here)...but once they were out of matrix, everything becomes minimalistic in their ship..they eat something essencial to survival ..everybody wears same sorta clothes and worry about other human who are trapped in the matrix and the machines who control the world..its all metaphorical as to the world we live in ..and main elements that buddhism talk about however are not there at least in my humble opinion...I repeat, again matrix is one of the finest movies of our generation just for its theme that is a accurate portrayal of the world we live in today.

I think you are talking about somewhat simplicity ? of coz you have some point there
But I think major impact of the movies is the confusion of the reality
They are not fighting for just freedom of the AI slavery but for the reality dont you think ? :)
Anyway Its ok I'll entitle to my own opinion :D

I had my friends at that time who were marveled by Neos fighting

    අඩෝ කොහොමද නියෝ ගෙ කික් එක ?

for the record I didnt knew any taboo words match for the situation which saved his mother :P

yeah haa...they are trying to save themselves from that fake world..we are living in the matrix...our reality has become a world that does not serve any purpose that is essential to our survival. that is wut matrix one was trying to say..I'm not sure about the ideologies in sequels they simply sucked...they were fighting for freedom in any sense of the word, and again proves that freedom is only a state of mind. they were trying to free their minds from succumbing to over-development that will not serve any spiritual purpose.

Open Hearts aka love you forever...a dogme movie from denmark...and it was tragic as hell prolly the most tragic movie I've seen ...it showed how people will really react to given rare situations..it showed how people and world truly are instead of how they should be unlike in most movies in a way that it was really impossible to sympathize with characters yet it was made in a way that you could still connect to them...a movie in a while hadn't made me feel this bitter...people in this movie were very human in every sense of it..they were selfish, self indulgent and the film maker made no effort at all to make them look perfect like in most movies ..they are all flawed just like we all are. and above all, the incredibly good acting should be noted...its a pity that this good a movie will never receive the attention it deserves.
