The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928)

This is truly a masterpiece! Acting, directing, photographing, music all are perfectly done. Maria Falconetti's acting is really amazing and that what I call acting. Anyone watch this movie can feel about it specially her expressions in eyes. The music is also nice there are several composes have done and all are perfectly matching for the movie. I can't believe this was made 80 years ago. Just think if they make a movie today with all technologies.

What most interesting is this movie was lost for decades because it was destroyed for firework. Carl Theodor Dreyer try to find another copy of it but couldn't and he died believing it was lost forever. In 1981 this was (another copy) miraculously discovered in a closet of a Norwegian mental institution and was released for DVD.

This is the best movie I have ever watched (Which was before The Shawshank Redemption) and all the credits should go to Main actress Maria Falconetti

    Director Carl Theodor Dreyer

And the Cinematographer Rudolph Maté .

IMDb rating is 8.2 my rating is 10.
