The thing is
I expect nothing but a good laugh from a comedy for now . It always had been worked for me . (Jingle All the Way)
But I hate the movies like RED which is trying to be funny in occasions which is really not.
The best comedy mixed serious creation I ever witnessed is Avatar series
So let me try with simple meaningless but highly enjoyable ones first
and may be in time I'll get to your kind of comedies

Lets say Im a huge fan of LOTR . I had one of the LOTR charactor (legolas) as my EK avatar for 4 years. and I have re watched all 3 movies like what ? 6 times . And I have 720p HD quality of each movies
You dont have to have good proper reason to to fall in love of such a movies.
As Ex:- for twisted , LOTR is nothing but walking walking walking and fighting and he's right . And sometimes its boring and may feel like you are watching English dubbed Hindi movie .
But I still like it
Let me explain this King Arthur movie in one sentence .
A Knight goes to war who managed to survive for 15 years of fierce-some battlefield and when he's in the brink of his relief from the service , he had been confronted upon his one final battle which is nearly impossible and he get success

I didnt even bother to watch the new Narnia yet .
anyways i'll add lotr to my list. should i start from the 1st or can i pick the best outta the 3 and watch. coz i know for some reason i'm not going to watch all 3 of them. me and trilogies just don't work. still haven't seen godfather II after loving the first so much hahawell from what i've seen in this thread so far it's not wise to consult u for oppinions haha jk

Ancient war movies are like stages just dedicated to the directors .
Even primitive careless watchers like me cant go unnoticed of the directive skills .
And of coz Antoine Fuqua had taken the best use of it .
Seen some good acting from Arthur guy eventho the Saxon leader's character what intrigued me through the move.
My final advise is
When you watching any kind of
Ancient war movies or effected movies , do not commit the sin of watching mere low quality DVDrip .
Highly recommend to the LOTR lovers

LOTR seriously lacks character development. Only Boromir had any real realistic characteristics and he gets killed off half way in LOTR 1. Everyone else was either completely good or completely bad.no king Arthur
Only a very few say LOTR is bad .most of them dont including critics.when some one trying to prove LOTR is so bad i cant help laughing..:
