while agreeing that no one could predict I do not think we have sufficient data to predict any new varieties and their virulence, with any acceptable accuracy. So any stimulation that it could be more dangerous is just a speculation with 50% probability (as the other outcome is less dangerous. It is unlikely it will be the same level of virulence when it becomes a VOC).
It is like I predict your first child be a boy (50%)! We cannot have a algorithm to predict new VOC or VOI we are far behind in such prediction with a reasonable accuracy.
