I agree with some of your ideas. Neither am I doing a promotion campaign nor am I telling everyone that studying in Australia will bring you "ultimate" benefits, whereas our country provides the same quality education at lower prices. For half of the amount, you are likely to spend in Australia, you may finish up to a Ph.D. in Sri Lanka. But here,I am answering the questions that people have towards Skilled Migration. In some occasions, there are people who get trapped and cheated without correct & updated information. Some people have paid money and struggling to have refunds when they have got failed. So this is just a help for those people. I personally do not need to encourage a person to migrate to Australia, if he or she has a good living condition in Sri Lanka. But there are people who have been depressed due to various issues they have in their home countries. Some of the people do not get a proper salary for their position or job. Some are looking for better living conditions. Some need to get world class qualifications as studying in Australia will give you relatively better aspects rather than studying in Sri Lanka. The offshore visa process you have mentioned here, was introduced from 1st of January 2013, where everyone can submit an expression of interest to see how eligible they are before applying for a specific visa category. Before that, only the people studying in Australia will get the chance to apply for PR. But now everyone can go through. I do not think that you have done an insult to this thread since you have expressed your personal views. I appreciate that. What you have told is the truth. But I am expected to answer those people, when they ask me questions as I started this thread with the intention of helping people genuinely at no cost. They might feel bad about me , if i request them to stay in Sri Lanka and try to apply from there when they ask me about coming in to Australia for their needs. So, I only can answer them according to their needs and considering their background. Whether to migrate or not is something they have to decide. Where ever you go, the reality is harsh and bitter. That's unstoppable unless you are a millionaire. So I believe that I have directed them on certain topics and how they should act accordingly. Throughout this thread, I did not encourage anyone to stop everything they are doing at the moment in Sri Lanka and go to Australia because it's the heaven. Australia is not a heaven indeed but we cannot stop people from going there as there are thousands who have been successful at the end. So guys the decision is up to you'll. I have clearly stated the purpose of this thread which is named as " Who wants to know about Skilled Migration in Australia". It does not mean that I am pushing you through the process of going to Australia. I am just giving you facts about Skilled Migration and how it works. Because, studying in Australia is one thing. Skilled migration is another thing. I am giving information on the second topic.
