David Villa To Push For Barcelona Move From Valencia - Report

David Villa is concerned that the change of ownership at Valencia could hold up his move - despite the new boss' promise last summer that he could leave this year for the right club.
The Spain striker was assured by Vicente Soriano that if he stayed one more season then he could leave, but as the situation has changed yet again at the Mestalla, the player could make a stand, Sport report.
Soriano has regained control as the club's major shareholder, so the decisions that were made by Manuel Llorente may count for nothing - and Villa is apparently becoming frustrated.
Barcelona are keen to wrap up a deal for the free-scoring forward this week, and Sport believe that if Valencia insist that he is not for sale again then he will request a transfer.
On Monday evening Soriano is due to hold a press conference where he will be asked about the promise he made to Villa and whether that will be kept and he can leave.
If the answer is 'no', then Sport believe that the striker will take matters into his own hands and ask to join Barcelona rather than stay at Valencia for yet another season.
Having met Barca officials in Asturias last week, Villa is now convinced that his future lies at Camp Nou, and is hoping that Soriano allows him to go with honour.
