When u use a catepol and hit to a bird it will try to fly some more and then fall and die....So same happend ...they came to thier last mission tried but failed due to heavy air defence attack and got shot and crashed to different locations....

LTTE missed the target

LTTE's main target was not Inland Revenue Department! Their main target was the Air force camp near it.

In the above image, the the building that got attacked is located next to Trans Asia Hotel, The air force camp located other side of the road.
Conclusion: LTTE missed their target

As far as i know their target was not the inland revenue department...but what is ahead less than 100 or 200 meters. The Colombo Air Force Headquarters!

The first news was that a bomb is being dropped... nothing about a plane crash... then after a long time it said that a plane was shot and crashed into IRO...
By destroying the inland revenue files, what LTTE would gain..

Just what Athula wants to say:

1. Mahinda and his fellows are so corrupt
2. Their records are kept at IRO
3. They shot the LTTE plane somewhere else and transported it near IRO
4. After that they set a bomb at IRO so all the documents will be destroyed
5. MR and his clan can come scott free now.
