People in Sri Lanka can merely do nothing to stop that if he or she gets enough votes mate. It's their politics. Not ours. And again why should we care? Are you like Ranil to worry about the European powers?

You, while being a Sri Lankan accusing Sri Lankans for not being powerful and comparing them with the Terrorist supporters....

Anyway what did LTTE supporters do, for you to see them as so powerful?
Hunger strikes and protests are the only thing they did. But did they achieve any result? no, none. They lost the war. So, on what basis do you say that Sri Lankans are powerless?

There were many protests in foreign countries organised by the Sri Lankans. But the media doesn't publish all of them. But the people are slowly becomming aware of the real issues now.

Sri Lankans in foreign countries always try to educate people about the real things. And they do it peacefully without any distraction unlike LTTE supporters.

If you want to stand against anything, then open up few youtube, facebook accounts etc in order to battle the cyber terrorism. Because that's the only option they have now.

On a light scale, the only reason (if any) the Sri lankans are not united is because of their politics.

That's why you might feel like LTTE supporters are united, because they had only one party to support - LTTE.

But Sri Lankans are divided as Sinhalese, Tamils, Buddhists, Christians, Muslims, PA supporters, UNP supporters, JVP supporters etc etc etc.

Only a very few tries to see the reality while most are being taken a ride by the Media.

So it's now the time to be united and forget all the differences and fight for the development of the country.

Before you guys do anything, please educate yourself with what happened in the past and present in Sri Lanka!

Because without the knowledge of how things came to be, your comments your statements will not be much different from theirs!

And you cannot measure the power of LTTE by facebook, if you measure that way obviously they are more powerful because we are out numbered by 4 to 1, the REAL POWER lies within your understanding of the conflict!
