We are getting crap shit in the age of 4k video. Because of courrupt telecom firms who paying TRC to keep the rates same and shit on customers. In UK you can get 17Mb unlimited line for just 3740Rs. Hydrabad in India is getting 1Gbps unlimited connection for approximately 13000rs a month. South Korea and Sweden have the world best internet connection. Sri Lanka is not a big country instead of giving more bandwith and speed and unlimited downloads to consumers ,we are being screwed left and right.
TRC is supposed to be a regulator and they do not care a shits ass for customer complaints. Instead Telecom firms dictate what and how to regulate to TRC. I think PUSL should takeover TRC. I do not know how many big shots of TRC are in telecom firms payroll.
There are things like giving local to local Sri Lankan connection better bandwith speed than Internet. Which none of them do. Nothing goes out of wasted bandwidth of local connection. In the age of whatsapp people will be using less and less of local calls because of cost of call and higher governement taxes on phone calls. Government even regulating price for local calls making it higher than 50cents which was ealier.
If people think Sri Lanka is far away to lay internet think again Sweden, Singapore, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Korea, Japan are far away too. They have better speeds unlimited connection compared to us.
