u need to get a wi fi router and need to hv a wifi support laptop or wifi dongal....u jst hv 2 connect ur wifi router to the internet and then u can use it.........u can browse internet wireless

Thanks for the info, but it is not about the internet connection, about building a wi-fi transmitter and receiver using PIC and data trf through that connection

u mean????????not clear....u wanna build a wifi or a wifi area?or to transfer data through a wifi connection?

wifi use in college or kinda building area..is power very low compare other connections...for an example if u launch a wifi connection,will transmit 100 or 150 meters..also you will get the speed for browsing ..downloading speed very low ..
i used it ..when direct connection speed was 200kps..wifi connection just 10kps..
i got so pissed..better in my opinion i prefer normal dongles..
