In the near future, it is likely that the conflict will continue to escalate. Both sides are showing no signs of backing down, and the international community has been unable to broker a ceasefire This means that the conflict is likely to continue for some time, with no end in sight

I don't think a big war will start soon because of the financial crisis. Back in the days of the World Wars, powerhouses like Germany and the US had a lot of money to spend on wars.

Not a single incident like this starts a world war. a world war is a result of a long term failure of diplomatic relations between two coalitions. So as of now we're at the "Road to World War" stage. I'm expecting it'll start by the year 2027-33

for the WW1 the tensions between European nations began to rise since Otto von Bismark's era. All of those broke out when Archduke was assassinated & Austria offered ultimatum to Serbia, backed by Germany's promises. That would not happen if there were no tensions between other european nations & Germany imo.
