Matara HorraIt is beter to talk with KP than the Matara Urchin Horra Wimal Weerawansa. Don't try to have a macho image where srilankans are in the verge of begging. At lest Mugabe has some assets on his own but where you stand in the society.

This is one of the best proposals by Mr.Weerawansa. Government should take immediate action to sever all connections with Norway. Not only Norway, all other European countries & the USA should be scrapped from the list of diplomatic relationships. They all have been making unnecessary demands from the Sri Lankan Government in the past few years, mostly during the past three months. Mr.Weerawansa, what about the UN & Commonwealth. I think, you should demand them to remove Sri Lanka,..... oh! I am so sorry, what am I talking? You should demand the Sri Lanka Government to get out of the UN & Commonwealth too. They are dominated by those capitalist Western countries. What about a suggestion to form a powerful organization under the banner of NFF with Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Balukistan, Tajikistan etc...?

Wimal, then what about India who trained and armed the LTTE?

Wimal, I think you are right this time. Normally I ignore your comments. Norwegians have shown their true colours. They have sponsored LTTE in many ways. Time has come GOSL to call Norwegian Ambassador and ask for explanation first. Let the whole world know the double game that the Norwegians have played in Sri Lanka. Norway organizes terrorists to appease Norwegian politicians and disregard the consequences outside their borders.

I agree...chase away everyone and have only Zimbabwe, Somalia and Iran as our friends

How can internationally convicted criminal hold talks with a high UN official. Isnt Sir John Holmes breaking the law and Norway is setting a clear cut precedence to subvert law.

If Norway has indeed facilitated talks between JH and KP, this is the only time where Wimal has spoken something sensible.

this is a serious allegation,if this is true Sri Lankan should immediately stop all diplomatic ties and take this to international courts or relevant body because KP is international terrorist wanted by the Interpol.

The president is an intelligent person-he's not going to listen to your tantrums.

Yes Honorable Wimal, you are very correct. This implies that you are best person in this country for the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs

Hon.MP can easily demand whatever comes to his mind. But we srilankans could judge whether their actions have really brought good or bad for the country by looking at the outcome of all these actions yet to come hopefully in the near future. Then only we can decide whether their method is better or worse than previous regime.

Here we go again!!!Another statement which when the govt ignores..he will sing a different tune.Remember the Plug which he is still trying to pull?.What can we say...some people are wise ...others... 'otherwise'.

This is a serious allegation. If true, Norway has betrayed Sri Lanka as sovereign nation. They should answer this. After verifying Sri Lankan foreign ministry should summoned Norwegian ambassador and ask for explanation. May be severing diplomatic connection is too early. But strong message should be communicated if this is true. Perhaps one fine day Norway will come forward first to recognize Eelam in exile. Norwegians has no say now in Sri Lankans affair. We are happy the way GoSL keep Norway at bay without letting them put their fingers in our affairs. Although readers jump at throwing harsh comments at Wimal with preconditioned perception...he is not too far away from right response to incidents of this nature

What NFF leader has requested the Government of Sri Lanka to sever all sorts of ties with Norway is a timely request. The Government must pay attention to the request made by NFF leader Mr. Wimal Weerawansa forthwith. Still Government of Sri Lanka is not fully aware of Norway and its peace negotiator Erick Solheime’s hypocritical move planned together with the LTTE to divide our country. Erick Solheime has been conspiring to divide our mother land since the inception of the LTTE insurgency 1983 has now gone to Zimbabwe to see the President Mugabe whether he can be successful there.

These stupid uttering may lead to the European Union, USA, Canada, Australia, India ... sever diplomatic ties with Sri Lanka. If the GOSL acts according to the ideas of Wimal the Kotiwanse (since the then JVP did criminal offenses against the elected Government to withdraw forces from the North to curb terrorism in the South which helped indirectly the LTTE) very soon Sri Lanka will be isolated. I think he is overstepping his mandate. However, the President is very clever and these things will not happen. Wimal is only barking to fool the gullible masses. So far nothing has happened according to Wimal's utterings.

Feel Sorry for the ignorance of Wimal Weeravansa. He couldn't understand the Historical Links between Srilanka and Norway like "CEYNOR" CEYLON-NORWAY.

I would like to see Mexico and Nicaragua be added to the list for their intention to harass Sri Lanka at the UNSC.

This is absurd. If we severe diplomatic ties with all these countries how are we going to spend the 3 billion rupees per annum we save by not sending our FM, family and friends on 'state visits'.

if a meeting has taken place then it is very very serious issue where international community must bring Norway to justice for arranging a meeting with a banned organization and Johan Holmes must step down from his position immediately

We can tell what ever we want but as far rest of the World is concerned Tamils are ill-treated in Srilanka & LTTE represents some of them despite their terrorist activities.......

Few people only have the capacity to understand the reality and the danger posed by No-Way guys with respect to Sri lanka. These western idology and Liberal policies are NOT acceptable and they MUST be chased away, diplomatically.

Norway has done more damages to Sri Lanka than helping as under institutions like CEYNOR, what has happened is what we underwent during the last 3 decades of LTTE terror.Norways hidden agenda is to make this a non-Buddhist country divided into several pieces.

Friends: Mr. Weerawansa’s criticism of Norway and the UN is misplaced. Both are working hard with the US and other members of the international community to urge the LTTE to release the tens of thousands of civilians who are trapped in the safe zone in northern Sri Lanka. The Government of Sri Lanka also hopes the civilians will be allowed to leave. KP is the LTTE’s international representative and therefore the appropriate person for the international community to speak with. Conversations – such as the telephone conversation between UN Undersecretary John Holmes and KP referred to by Mr. Weerawansa - are solely for the purpose of persuading the LTTE to allow civilians to leave and observe international humanitarian law. They in no way constitute an endorsement of the terrorist activities of the LTTE. Thanks,
