ANYWAY if you REALLY want to do this here is the way, ( " NO " NEED OF A FLOPPY DRIVE!! )

 !!!!:nerd: PROCEED WITH CAUTION :nerd:!!!!

(im not going to pay any thing if u got it wrong ) ;)

    Reciepy for this :)

1 CD R (or CDRW ;) whatever that can store data and read by a CD rom (not sure abt dvdR tho) )

SATA drivers for your SATA controlers (only those .inf files wanted, but as i remember i had to Download some intel's installer and install it to vista and then from there had to find those inf files namely, "iaahc.inf and iastor.inf )

Then a normal Windows XP CD (try to get a new CD containing service packs)

nLite program (can be downloaded free.

Few tea/cofee would be useful too ;)

then all other things you can find from here (PLEASE READ ALL IN THERE BEFORE PROCEEDING )

Well about that laptop i installed XP, it was a succes story actually (with few minor glitches ; like bluetooth/WLAN not working correctly. i couldnt find a good driver)

So at last I installed windows Vista also (dual boot - now theres both XP and Vista, so for WLAN work its easy to use vista), so its ok now.

but i still think if you REALLY not sure to do this or not, then just dont.
