Windows 2003 server problem..

Hi all...

I have a machine running windows server 2003 which has the Active Directory..client machines were connected to this domain & was working perfectly. Due to some reason the machines were disconnected from the network & some machines were formatted & the system reinstalled...now..the problem is...when i tried to join it to the domain again..it says..."cannot find a domain controller".....but the DC is up & running....!...

wat could be the problem...please help me with this...i'm new to this thing...

In the DC, make sure thats it has the DNS service configured and running. Also make sure that DHCP is configured and running.
Now, in the client, turn off all firewall software and enable DHCP and make sure it takes DHCP and DNS from the DC. Then run the domain joining wizard.
