Windows XP putting on a pc with Windows 98?? Possible? Help!

We got an 'old' pc with Windows 98 at home!
Is it possible to put software Windows XP on it?

I mean deleting windows 98 en then putting Windows XP on it?

Is it possible to download like that from the internet?! I know its
(probably) illegal!! xD

Yes, it is possible and Easy.If the specific computer met the XP System requirement, all you have to do is Find XP CD and Format 98 HDD as NTFS, then Install windows XP.... That`s all!.

1st check you computer config whether it has the capacity to take XP cause XP takes more HD space than 98. U may install XP but not the full version but your computer will have very slow performances.

these are the minimum requirements to install win XP



PC with 300 megahertz or higher processor clock speed

128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)

1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space

If ur old PC meet

xp minimum requirements.......

2 GB harddisk space
96 MB of RAM at aleast.........
4 MB of VGA....
133 MHZ of Processor .......at least........
CD ROM...
and KEY board and mouse...

U are able to put XP SP 1 on that PC.....( XP SP 2 and 3 may not give enough performance )...( custamized XP versions may give good performance if u have drivers)..................

but i dont think that u can install XP via the internet on WIN98 as Microsoft has officially stopped support for the WIN 98 since 2007.....
