    Then you have to mount these at a height so that it minimises the effects of obstacles causing phase effects. If you know the heights and distances of any obstacles in-between the two sites the minimum mounting height can be calculated.

    wt about lighting strikes....shielded cables can prevent that ?

    Yes... finally it all depends on the cost of deployment. There are even non line of sight wireless solutions operating in the LTE bands and sub 6GHz bands but very costly. In the old days we used microwave systems. These were rather slow. Curently optical fibres.
    I haven't got a clue as to where you are going to use this but isn't there any other alternative.
