Wireless network not working on Laptop

dear friends, my new work laptop seems to have some "lock" or something and won't detect the wireless connection. However it works fine on Ethernet cable. Bloody pain in the ass.... it's just not detecting the wireless. Wireless connection switch was checked etc.... all seems fine.... any ideas? thanks in advance.....

i have a A200 , did u switch off the and on the network button did u install the drivers of the modem?, is the network key correctly entered?

machang nothing wrong with switch and all.... not sure about the modem driver..... I am not the most tech. clued fellow on this forum. Thompson TG585 V7 Wireless modem-- that makes any sense?

No, it is not detected..... but when I hook up ETHERNET cable...works fine....
