Yeah thats the traditional way of inviting someone to the dining table, like bulath deela wandinawa wage. I dun think theres any scientific reason behind it but heard in a documentary once that sinhalese traditions are such that the invitations are done through gestures rather than verbally, this must be another occationHeyy guyzz...
