im just wondering wat anusha has to say abt this.but 1 thing is sure the risk of being faulty is going higher wit the capacity.
aow many platters in this?.

Yes, more the platters, the riskier. Anyway that's a five platter drive. Hitachi's 500GB drive also has 5 platters. So this 1TB drive is not more dangerous than the 500GB one.
