writing SRS <document conventions>

please tell me a way to write document conventions... is it differnt than writing the glossary...i googled sum SRS's they has written the meaning of technical words under document conventions ..but under glossary it says define terms necessary to interpret the SRS... including acronyms & abbreviations...
