WSO2 founder Sanjiva Weerawarana will step down as CEO in June 2026, with Devaka Randeniya appointed as Acting CEO. This is not Weerawarana's first departure from the company; he previously left WSO2 as an employee in 2018 but remained on the Board before being re-appointed CEO in January 2020
