I'm going to slipstream a XP CD with Service Pack 2 and Updates (Hotfixes).
I'm using nLite 1.3.5

My problem is how can I know if the CD will work properly?
I had a problem earlier with a slipstreamed CD, I got a "Cycle redundancy check error" while installing.

So, how can I check the CD for errors?

(I could install Virtual PC and try to install virtually. but I don't have that much disk space)

Is there any software to check a Windows CD for errors?

If you have a proper XP CD and if you don't do any modifying other than slipstreaming, it should not give any problems. I used to do this without any issues. The things get "messy", however, if you try to be more adventurous and try poking around the other options in nLite :D

I also removed things like windows messenger, indexing service, tour etc. But did not remove anything important.

What you consider as "unimportant" might actually be important for the OS to work properly. If you removed anything, we can't really say much about it.

But, check if the CD/DVD was burnt properly. If you have access to a "working" PC, you can use Nero CD DVD Speed for that. Do a quality check and make sure it finished without giving any error message (not the errors show on the graphs)
