Getting to the heading, I was surfing radio stations inthe morning and stopped at one which was playing a nice song.


Later it turned out to be Y FM and the programe of "You and Y" or something like that.




The presentator was reading out an interlude "Saftey tips for Woman" (in sinhalese)

Never use the Hair dryer WHILE you are having the shower, the water from the shower can seep in and electricute you.


eeer, OK ! what kind of a saftey tip is that? I felt it more sounds like an INSULT to woman than a TIP






after sometime, he said something about Animals and Facts... one of them was

The endangered animals ratio when compared to the total population of Animals has gone DOWN from 1/4 to 1/3

Can someone tell me IF my math is wrong ?
1/4 > 1/3 ????

Denominator or Numerator.. we are talking about FRACTIONS.. which the MALE presentator statued that 1/4 is BIGGER than 1/3

There are 100 Animals

Whome 1/4 are endangered which is = 25

But now (as claimed) it has gone DOWN to 1/3 of the total population which is = 33

Well, you are the Banker !! tell me where did my math go wrong.

The point is, Radio Jokies are not suppose to tell people RIDDLES of mathematics to crunch their brains and solve.

Unless there is some wiered theory that I have not heard of.. 1/3 is >>> than 1/4
