    well, making a little note,

I listen to TNL Rocks, Sun FM and of cource, only Y fm for a Sinhalese channel apart from Sirasa once in a while.

TNL Rocks is amazing, superb... I would give 10/10 for presentation, content, music and all.

Yes, Sun FM is almost the English version of Y FM, but their quality of DJ's, content is superb.

And Sirasa, the Dj's are really good.. I see it as a channel which still holds a part of the youth attraction as well as keeping some respect for them selves. Quality of their contect is moderate..but the real down side is endless advertising.

    Y FM..

DAMN SHIT !!! something I would give MINUS marks for DJ's, Content, quality of broadcasting etc.. but a FULL THUMBS UP for their music Playlist.

    a nother little note,

I remember about 4 years ago, watching a talk-show in Swarnawahini, where they had "palitha" as a guest.

The announcers were going ga ga about quality of announcements and their vocal controllings and how hard is to learn such things. Their first question to "palitha" was how he has studied them.

DAMN .. MAN !!! .. that guy just started speaking......... WHOOOOAAAA

the VOICE, the CONTROL OF PITCH, THE VOCAL BALANCE of his VOICE is absolutely beyond words....and the rest of the announcers there looked like a bunch of ammeture kids !

I can't remember the answer which he gave.. but just remembered waching that programe with a total AWWWE and turning up the sound just to here that man's voice.

That's one thing you can say "OLD is GOLD" ...

For a FACT, I know that there was a DJ in YES FM...who was interdicted for just saying

"okey Machang" on the radio after an online call !

That is of cource about 7 years back ! they had some really good quality control there those days

    Correct me.

    There are 100 Animals

Whome 1/4 are endangered which is = 25

But now (as claimed) it has gone DOWN to 1/3 of the total population which is = 33

Well, you are the Banker !! tell me where did my math go wrong.

The point is, Radio Jokies are not suppose to tell people RIDDLES of mathematics to crunch their brains and solve.

Unless there is some wiered theory that I have not heard of.. 1/3 is >>> than 1/4

     Oh C'mon..

I was in a fun mood in the morning

So wanted to bug you a bit. But u were not there

Even a kindergarten kid might solve the problem

Personally I think the announcer screwed it up.. It is a mistake.

28th May 2008 (between 8.15 am and 9.20 am) - Just in case if anyone want to check the authenticity of this

Getting to the heading, I was surfing radio stations inthe morning and stopped at one which was playing a nice song.

Later it turned out to be Y FM and the programe of "You and Y" or something like that.

The presentator was reading out an interlude "Saftey tips for Woman" (in sinhalese)

Never use the Hair dryer WHILE you are having the shower, the water from the shower can seep in and electricute you. :oo:

eeer, OK ! :baffled: what kind of a saftey tip is that? :oo::oo: I felt it more sounds like an INSULT to woman than a TIP

    after sometime
, he said something about Animals and Facts... one of them was

The endangered animals ratio when compared to the total population of Animals has gone DOWN from 1/4 to 1/3 :oo:

Can someone tell me IF my math is wrong ?
    1/4 > 1/3 ????

aiyo oya kello gananam mama danne ne;but 0.25 < 0.3333333333333333
but there is a risk of electrocuting
