the poet feels the poem like none other else it is a fact, lets say the poem is not so straight forward there are so many metaphors and stuff that the reader can't get it 100% straight so all he can do is give his own little interpration to it based upon his experiences and mind set, unlike that the poet wrote the fucking thing he knows what every single word, line mean he knows what every metaphor mean. most poem have only one thoroughly fitting meaning in which case it would defa be the poets...do yourself a favor write a poem (not some straight forward lines) and ask a friend of yours to decipher it you'll get my point, no reader on this earth can totally understand the entire thing.
