    Back to the topic..

Kahlil Gibran is too subtle for Elakiri.
    Nobody owns children.
The parents who think that they own them
    are bound to be dissapointed.
    :)

Athula Uncle, I dont know about you, but most of the members were strictly on the topic.

You said this Kahilil guy said that:

"Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They came through you but not from you
and though they are with you yet they belong not to you."

and we took it serious. Man it's serious isn't it? If he tells me like that I will kick his ass cause I know my children are mine. May be you also not sure about your children..

But whats so wrong about this quote of threadstarter?

(Like the last sentence of you, nice described!)

people can describe the same thing in a lot of different ways. but its the same thing still. it doesnt change anything. usually, parents feed their kids not because they think their kids are a property belongs to them.

kids want to go where they want to go some times, and paretsn are stopping them. then those kids are getting annoyed and blaming on parents saying they cannot be owned by anyone and they should have their own freedom.

does this incidents tells us that there is something to be changed? if parents let them to be the way they want, they will start blaming their parents once they become adults.

Good point. But it's nothing to do with others. Kahilil has told Atula uncle this. So we need to help Atula Uncle to solve this problem.

Like Elakiri members, this Kahilil guy is also making fun out of Atula uncle.
