This is a beginner's guide to reputation system in elakiri.

New members and some of old members still have problems about rep system.
I hope you guys will get all the answers about rep system from this thread.

Reputation system is a member rating system, Members can gain and/or lose reputation based on how their posts are scored by other forum participants. Members with the ability to affect reputation, will either give or take aways points by approving or disapproving with a post's content.

When you log in to elakiri, at home page u will see a User CP like this,

It will give u information about your rep power, and give u a understanding about your cuurent rep points by markers.U can see rep markers with avaters of other members..It give u the understanding about his reputation points.

new member with no rep points

member with -1 to -99 rep points

member with -100 to -199 rep points

member with 1-99 rep points

member with 100-199 rep points

member with 200-299 rep points

member with 300-399 rep points

member with 500-599 rep points

Reputation power is your rep ability, when u give a rep to a member he will get rep points according to your rep power.
eg- if u have a rep power of 2, when u give a -rep, other member will loose 2rep points.
Reputation power is growing with time, once in a 6 months u will get a +1 rep power.
More old u going with elakiri u will get more rep power.

When u click the User CP on top of the page,

U will get your current subscribed threads window and bottom of it u will see the reputation box.
This box includes your current rep points, threads, date u got them from and rep comments.

Green colour rep is a +rep....
Red colour is a -rep....

White(blank) colour rep is uncountable rep...(this happens when u repped from a member with no rep power)

Giving a rep.....

1.Every post there is a small button at the top..(karma). This is the rep button.
Click it....

2.Then u get a Reputation dialog box like this....

3.It ask the"what do you think of post?"
If the post is good and usfull, tik "I approve" and add a comment to give a +rep and click "Add to Reputation"

4.Then u will get a dialog with thanks...

5.If the post is bad or spam, tik "I disapprove" and add a comment to give a -rep and click "Add to Reputation"

Then u will get a dialog with thanks...

6.You can't rep youself....try it this is what u get....

7.U can't rep the same member again, u have to spread some reputation around..

By the time you will get reputation points and you will get a comment about yourself also...
U can see your current commnet by taking mouse to your rep markers.
