I do not believe there are sects in Buddhism. If a certain group calls themselves buddhists I'm not part of it. But I've spent lots of time studying Buddhism so I guess that gives me a position to give my opinion.

In my understanding there is a thing that is related to the so called soul or at least something that is individual and binding to a being. But the correct word may not be soul. This is what links a person from one atma to another, hence keeps something specific to that person through out the samsara.

It has to be some kind of enegy, since all there is in this universe is energy. But as explained in qantom physics, energy exists as particles, and therefor my belief is that so called 'soul' is a large energy packet.

Thanks again while you were typing that. I read this article.

    http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/reincarnation.htm

Just wanted to point this out in that page

    What Reincarnation is Not

Reincarnation is not a simple physical birth of a person; for instance, John being reborn as a cat in the next life. In this case John possesses an immortal soul which transforms to the form of a cat after his death. This cycle is repeated over and over again. Or if he is lucky, he will be reborn as a human being. This notion of the transmigration of the soul definitely does not exist in Buddhism.

    Whats you thought on this?

This is wrong, because it talks about an immortal soul. There cannot be an immortal soul because everything is subject to change and what is in the universe at a certain time is the results of cause and effect. What exists are the names, boundries, concepts created by humans to understand the world that we live in. In that sense everything is relative so there is no soul or anything that is absolute or immortal. Therefore there is no real self. However this does not mean there isn't a relative self that travels in samsara.
Furthermore it is important to understand that, since everything is relative, there is nothing that one can identify as "me".

Thanks for the clarification. I posted that on the forum to get the buddhists idea about it and I think I got it now :) 001flyD suggested me a book to read and I think I'll get it in few weeks when I come to Sri Lanka

well, as a physicalist, I believe humans do not have minds and souls....we are nothing but just robots..some sort of robots...thoughts, feelings are brain events..and I don't believe in an additional entity-mind.

    මැරුණම ශරීයයෙන් 'විඥානය' පිටවෙනවා. 'විඥානය' කියන්නේ 'දැනගැනීම'.

do you agree with this eluwo?
