I just entered the CSE.. my broker announced me today that my CDS account is active.

My broker works at Richard Peiris Stock Brokers.... I remember him saying that they have internet trading.. Do you know anything about that????
I remember him saying that we have to download a software if we want to do internet trading.. is it this software? if so I can just log in using a username/password that I'll be receiving via an email...

WHAT HAPPENED TODAY(2011.07.20) IN SHARE MARKET? Short Description

The All Share Price Index closed at 6,682.46, up 0.10 percent (6.76 points) while the more liquid Milanka index fell 0.29 percent (18.15 points) to close at 6,180.05, according to stock exchange data .

Market experienced a lot of fluctuations within the day resulting indices moving towards different directions they said. . Retailers activities were high and 232 counters were engaging with trading today. Total Market Capitalization was Rs. 2.37Tn, a stock broker said.

. The highest contributors to the daily turnover were John Keels Holdings (LKR 187.68), Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings PLC (Rs. 128.93Mn) and Asian Hotels & Properties PLC (R s.94.55). Diversified sector emerged as the highest contributor to the daily turnover recording Rs. 398Mn and Hotel & Travels sector also provided noticeable subscription of Rs. 261.53Mn. The total traded volume for the day was 46.25Mn. The highest traded stock for the day was E-Channelling PLC with 6Mn Shares changing hands. Panasian Power PLC also recorded 4.4Mn traded shares. Bukit Darah, JKH, Aitken Spence Holdings, Asian Hotels &Properties and Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings PLC recorded crossings, Asha Phillip Securities Ltd said in a research note. The price losers surpassed the price gainers by 106:94. The gainers were led by newly listed Nanda Investment; on the contrary losers were led by Ceylon Leather Products PLC (W12).The market recorded a net foreign outflow of Rs 269.34Mn..
