Recently carmaker Covini launched its six-wheel super sports car the CA3. Powered by an Audi 4.2 litre V8 engine, this mean machine produces a hot 500 horsepower punch and can reach up to 300 km/hr. As this super car points us towards the future.

Plug-In Electric Rolls Royce: Powered by the world's largest electric car battery (1,400 lbs.), the Rolls Royce 102EX plug-in Phantom-type made its debut in Geneva recently. It has a range of 125 miles, a sub-eight-second 0-60 mph time and a max speed of 100 mph (slower than the 5.7-second regular Phantom V12). The GM Pod: For those who find their corporate space or campus too large to walk around, the GM EN-V (short for Electric Networked-Vehicle) might be just the thing. Tinier than the Tata Nano, the car can ferry people over small distances. The car can park itself, and uses radar and Doppler sensors to detect and avoid other vehicles. And although its top speed is a snail-slow 25 miles/hour, the car can respond to a request for a ride via smartphone

The Ferrari Hybrid: Ferrari rolled out its 599 hybrid car as a prototype at the Geneva Motor Show last year. While not much has been said about this car, we hear that it will have a V12 engine, an electric motor and related electronics mounted on the rear transaxle. The system is based on the kinetic energy recovery system that Ferrari's Formula 1 team developed. We'll know more about the car only in 2014, because Ferrari officials are still calling it an experimen

The Porsche Hybrid: The 918 Spyder hybrid from Porsche can get to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, with a max speed of 218 mph. Based on the same technology used in the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid race car, the 918 Spyder will have 500-horsepower. But you'll have to wait a couple of years until Porsche kick-starts production, ideally in late 2013. Here's the hitch, only 918 units will be made

Compact Mercedes: Mercedes unveiled its 4-cylinder, 4-wheel-drive Concept A-Class in April. Set for a launch in late 2012 or early 2013, this car is a 210-hp compact vehicle. Alfa Romeo: We are sure that Alfa Romeo's Giulietta sedan is set for an American debut in 2014.
