I bought my Dell inspiration 5110 laptop just one week ago.... It has core i7 2.2GHz processor, 8GB RAM and 1GB dedicated VGA. But the problem is that it's really slow from the very beginning. It takes 2.5 minutes to load to my desktop. My dual core desktop computer is faster than that. I have warranty for the laptop... But I want to know why this really happens.... Thank you

    What is ur OS?
Is it a original one or cracked?
Remove some unnecessary start-up programs (start --> type "msconfig" --> click startup tab)

    * This is only a one to solve ur problem

That's true machan..... But I'm really disappointed with the laptop... I've spent over 1 lak for the lap. But it's really slow. Can that happen with such hardware performance.....

Machan, I forgot to tell that, when I first format the laptop, a black screen came up and did some hard disk check up. When i format it for the same time it came up again... So is that some thing wrong with my hardware?

AFAIK Laptops come with a pre-installed windows version where they plan to be compatible with many hardware varieties machan, so naturally there are many useless registry entries and apps that slows down performance

hmmmmmm...Could be anything from hardware to software.... like processor/ram or the OS. since it has warranty, go to the agent and complain about your problem. Dont try t fix it your self
