I need to buy a Dell laptop, tell me who are the dealers (i think it's soft-logic)
any way how's their after sales services

If you come across with a motherboard problem during the warranty period, they will replace the motherboard with a refurbished motherboard. This happened to me.

One of my laptops had a spontaneous booting problem. They replaced with a new (refurbished) motherboard. Then two days later, sound didn't work. Second time when they replaced the motherboard, it didn't work at all. It was dead on arrival. The repair was done on-site.

Later, I sent an email to regional head of sales. He appointed the European tech support to handle my case. Support guy tried to persuade me to get the system to one of their service centres and run a thorough check-up. But, they said it will be again a refurbished motherboard.

I didn't accept that and told them to take away my laptop. They tried 3 days to find a new motherboard, but they could not. In other words, they had no new motherboards globally.

They finally replaced the laptop with a new one. Of course a newer model. Old one was E6510 and the new one they sent me is E6520.

well..at the moment there are 4 dell dealers in srilanka
1-softlogic-->dell concept store in liberty plaza
2-swastic group-->dell concept store in unity plaza
3-DSI
4-PC house
nothing to worry to buy products from dealers.also i have read some articles which indiacted that TECHZONE also good..
metropolitan gives softlogic warranty..so you can buy your dell laptop from anywhere that i have mentioned above.
3 months a ago i bought DELL inspiron n5110 i5 from dell concept store at unity plaza...such a amazing laptop..runs smoothly...

one of my friends bought a Dell from Swastika group or swasti group in unityplaza 1st floor, right next to TechZone. The also claimed to be a Dell agent just like Softlogic. and told they would only take 48 hours for warranty stuff.

but you know how these guys are. and dont even think of buying from PC House or their laptop.lk

and i have no affiliation with the company i mentioned... lol
