18-135mm pretty much cover whole range for normal use.
use a x2 teleconverter to double it to 270mm.

+ get a 50mm f1.8

that should cover all your normal use

if you photograph wildlife, birds regularly, then go for a 70-300mm

ya.. it's easy with a bridge cam for both wide angel, and telephoto shoots
but you have to compromise the image quality and the creativity

you cant go crazy with a fixed lens cams

yeah that's really true..once in my first job, my boss also photographer..we was telling "um gonna buy micro lens, but it will be cost around nothing" , then i asked why are you spending that much money for thing ? he replied me "once you are in to photography, it's totally madness.. and you will try to reach what you want..
