    I agree with you on this;

    But not on this;

    Because;

World's Top 5 Computer Casing & Power Supply Manufacturers:
No 1 - ZALMAN - Made in Korea
No 2 - NZXT - Made in USA
No 3 - Antec - Made in USA (not Made in Japan, as you said)
    No 4 - Lian-Li - Made in Taiwan
No 5 - Cooler Master & Thermaltake - Made in Taiwan

Cheap brands you said "Made in Japan" except "Antec":
    1. Sea Sonic - Made in Taiwan
    2. SilverStone - Made in Taiwan

 Don't say about anything without a thorough enquiry.

You need to learn more on PSU. Worlds Main PSU makers are
    1. Delta
    2. Seasonic
    3. FSP

All 3 are Taiwan Companies. They export even to Japan.

What I said about Chinese Caps on Coolermaster is Low end PSU of 400-650W range sold in Sri Lanka are made of Chinese Capacitors while Antec, Seasonic and Silverstone are made with Japanese Capacitors. Also These psu have 80+ Certification upto Platinum and locally they are available. They also come with 3 Yrs Warranty.

So please get you data correct, since it will also help you next time to buy a good psu.

These are the most trust-worthy people in Sri Lanka that you can assemble your computer. These people are cheap-in-price, too.

    1. E-Sys - esyssrilanka.com/ (site is under devolopment)
    2. Extreme - www.extremegroup.lk/

These people are the cheapest-in-price of all in Sri Lanka as well as always updating their stuff to the latest.
Not being racist, but these people are Muslims and we all know that Muslims are very crafty in business, so you must carefully deal with them.

    1. TechZone - www.techinfo.lk/
    2. Barclays - www.barclays.lk/

Also keep in mind that these people are originated from (TechZone) or have connections with (Barclays) Unity Plaza.
For more details about the Black & White of Unity Plaza, click here; http://indike.blogspot.com/2006/11/computer-dealers-mafia-in-unity-plaza.html

But if you know how to tackle them, then there is nothing to worry about and you may get the latest + cheapest-in-price stuff.

However, I would recommend you to assemble your computer according to the following configuration, if you pay much attention for the performance and don't worry about the price.

    1. Processor - 2nd Generation Intel Core i3 2130 = Rs. 16500 (E-Sys, Extreme, TechZone, Barclays, EPSI*)

    2. Motherboard - ASUS P8H67-M LX = Rs. 13500 (EPSI*, Extreme, Barclays)

    3. RAM - Gskill RipjawsX = Rs. 3800 (TechZone)

    4. Graphic Card - ASUS ENGTS450 = Rs. 19900 if you are a gamer or ASUS EN210 = Rs. 6900 if you are not (EPSI*, Extreme, Barclays)

    5. Hard Disk - Western Digital (WD) Caviar Black = Rs. 16500 (E-Sys, Extreme, Barclays)

    6. Optical Drive - ASUS 24x SATA = Rs. 3000 (EPSI*, E-Sys, Extreme, TechZone, Barclays)

    7. Monitor - Samsung 19 inches True LCD = 13000 or LED Backlight LCD = 14000 (E-Sys, Extreme, TechZone, Barclays)

    8. Casing - For ASUS ENGTS450, better to buy Cooler Master CMP-350 Casing = Rs. 4500 with Cooler Master eXreme Power Plus 460 (460W True Power) Power Supply = Rs. 5600 if the price is affordable (Barclays) or if it's not then IN WIN Z670 Mini Tower with built-in 400W True Power Supply = Rs. 8000 is also good (TechZone). For ASUS EN210, just go for POWERLOGIC (FarhTech*)

    9. Keyboard - Logitech K-120 = Rs. 950 (E-Sys, Extreme, TechZone, Barclays, EPSI*)

    10. Mouse - Logitech M-115 = Rs. 950 (E-Sys, Extreme, TechZone, Barclays, EPSI*)

    11. UPS - Prolink Pro700 (650VA) = Rs. 3850 or Prolink Pro1200S (1200VA) = Rs. 8900 (E-Sys, Extreme, TechZone, Barclays, EPSI*)

*EPSI - ASUS authorized agent for Sri Lanka - www.epsi.lk/
*FarhTech - POWERLOGIC authorized agent for Sri Lanka - www.facebook.com/pages/FarhTech/120406747972211

I ve got pcs both form teczone and barclays.Teczone seems to be ok but I have noticed that the customer service at barclays is not that good.

It is the first time I am hearing about e-sys or extreme so I cant comment.(but judging by their web site they seem to be quite small companies so I guess they probably offer better customer service)

As for EPSI I used to get all my stuff from them but I began to notice that their service department wasn't good. For example it took them over a week to figure out that the motherboard in my last pc needed to be replaced.
I ve got some stuff from redline and they seem quite good. Also I hear eglobal solutions has some good stuff.

:oo: I think I have confused the word "Caps". :sorry: Very sorry for that.

Howsoever, for every one, to learn the reality of PSU manufacturers, I'll put a source from a review in nVIDIA Forums, written by one of its members called "NV4TEHWIN", after a thorough inquiry regarding the matter. I found it today. To read the full article, click here; http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=4146

Power Supply Manufacturer TOP 10 (or TOP 5)

Here's something you might not know. Most companies that sell power supplies don't actually make them. They slap a sticker on someone elses unit and sell it as their own (commonly referred to as "rebadged"). While many of them have their own features added to try and niche out a spot in a crowded market, this usually doesn't hurt it's performance and might even improve it functionally, not just add shiny eye candy. Many though, it's just eye candy. And many do absolutely nothing... they just slap a sticker on the side.

    --=--=--=--=--=--

    #1a
    Topower
(some TTGI - Super-Flower, OCZ, EPower/Tagan, RaidMax, Vantec, ACI)

    #1b
    FSP - Fortron Source Power
(Fortron, Sparkle, Cooler Master*, Zalman, Aopen)

    #1c
    CWT - Channel Well Technology
(Antec, Lead Power, Enermax, Xclio, Turbolink)

While these top three encompass more than the re-badges I've named, you can usually bet on a solid performer if you pick one of them. It's highly debatable which are better than others, of course. But all in all, everyone has had pretty good experiences. Not suprisingly, they are priced accordingly. None of them in the 400W range are going to be under $50. If your power supply is one of the above, chances are you can trust both the unit itself and it's claims on wattage per line.

    #2a
    Sea Sonic

    #2b
    Wintech
    (Ultra X-finity)

    #2c
    Acbel Polytech
(Stateside, just the Cooler Master True Power)

Same with these, a bit more esoteric. If you can afford a Sea Sonic these have the best efficiency of any consumer switching PSU for computers. You'll pay for it up front, but your electric bill will be less in the long run.

    #3a
    Sirtec
    (Chieftec, Enlight, ThermalTake, High Power)

    #3b
    HEC - HeroIchi Electronic Co.
    (HEC, CompuCase)

    #3c
    AMS - American Media Systems
    (Mercury)

Here you start finding dissention in the owners. Some claim it's the best in the world, some wouldn't let their dog run Windows 3.11 on one. Some of them have great reputations (TT & HEC) but the problem is a "squeaky wheel" one - it's hard to know just how good/bad things are when only people with problems post.

    #4a
    Youngyear
(Aspire, Logisys, MGE, Ultra X-Connect, Rosewill)

    #4b
    ATNG
    (Coolink, CoolMax, Rosewill, StarTech)

Now we're into budget territory. Maybe it's just a quality control issue; some people love them but most hate them, and from bad personal experiences. I personally wouldn't touch them. They should work, but no one will be suprised if it smokes itself and takes your motherboard with it. They rarely come close to what their ratings state, very poorly constructed. (but usually colors or chrome and UV sleeved and colored Molex's and LED fans!) These for the most part are toys, although you might get lucky. Not all of them are, but it does take more effort in sifting through them than it's worth.

    #5
    CRAP!
(L&C, Deer, Allied, Eagle, CodeGen/Foxconn, EverPower, Maxpower)

If you believe one of these things will power your computer, I have a 7-band underdash amplifier/equalizer that's 250W+250W that I'll sell you for $5. You'll love it. Really, if you have one of these supplies, don't mention it to us. Just silently toss it out and buy one in the #1 category.

I agree that Red Line Technologies have a good reputation in the gamer's forum. I bought my Logitech Z623 speaker set from them (10,ooo lesser, through a promotion from online website). They gave me the full 2 year warranty. And it had original packing using two boxes.

The speaker set is doing well without any issues.

Red Line updates their price list regualrly here; https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AstBhhc_xqludFp0bDUzYjd1X0RjZVAwaGFPRWt1RFE

And sometimes offer discounts through their facebook page.
