I know, hear they are doing terrible things out there, things which I don't want to reach this land. I am appalled by them as much as anybody. not that I lose any sleep over it, but I am.
but applying the same on muslims here and living in fear and paranoia while hating them incessantly isn't normal. it's not entire without reason. but still over the top. I mean, hating them for their ways of violence is one thing, but hating them for smelling bad, not eating pork... this is a sign of something terrible. it means we need to cleanse this land to shelter only the buddhist. but it's not how we were taught in buddhism. what these guys say and do here challenges common sense, disrespect the buddhism as I know it. I just don't want the people to perceive this hate as an aspect of buddhism.
Those aspects of it are, as anyone with an ounce of sense would admit, quite ridiculous. That is what I was trying to tell them. There are many intelligent and attractive ways of presenting a legitimate argument. You can never win over people to your side by spewing dirty words and curses. That is only possible with clear and logical arguments. Many morons do not get this fact. The only thing they are managing to do is to create a division between them and moderate buddhists. But what should be done is to make a better attempt to eliminate all possiblitiy of muslims bringing their extremism to this country. For example, I do not think different groups should have different laws within the country, such as muslim law, thesawalamai law and kandyan law. It will just make it easier to introduce sharia law one day. Everyone should have the same law applying to them in one country. But nobody thinks or acts about stuff like that. Instead, they all go on about pigs and smells, which are non issues.
