Direct links are faster(maximum speed/availability) than torrents when downloading "just released" TV episodes.
I usually go for boxsets and old well known series . So once you downloaded it you can continue your journey without disruption. So many of those are well seeded
There was a time I used torrents heavily. Mostly Movies. In fact I was a regular on "which movie you watched last" thread under my previous EK ID which I gave up two or three years back.

I really miss that account. Though I created greenthunder just after I abandoned latekid I never got engaged with EK like I did under that ID.I guess thats the whole point of changing ID. But I just miss it.
