This film is bit longer than a normal Hollywood movie, except you wouldn't know until it all ends.
Thats Clint Eastwood's signature

Additionally an Outstanding performance by Sean Penn. I never took him as a good actor until he surprise me with this one.

It was a movie to watch.
Highly recommend to Eastwood's fans if by any chance never get to watch this one

I don't think it's gay, because he falls in love with a girl, so bisexual maybe. I can understand for not liking it, it can be too much depressing and melodramatic. I think I enjoyed it because me myself was in a sad phase at that time, I might not even watch that now.
