e kiwwe machan? uba kiyanne UI ganada?

developing a proper UI with Windows API is a bit tough work so I think he is correct because the more it becomes tough the more you get paid. when you deal with Windows API directly you need to concern about Handlers, Windows Procedure, and so many functions so most of organizations don't use Windows API for implementing their User Interfaces because it takes time, it utilizes the budget , it needs more developers since it takes more time when the project goes like this way organization can't profit so most of organizations stick with .NET if it's a windows based application. but if it's targeted multplatform Java is a perfect solution beside Java has swing..
but remember if the platform is really old (like Windows 95) or if the client insists you to use the Windows API then you have no choice..

.NET Win forms < .NET WPF < Web Dev php based < Web Dev asp based < Web Dev java/jsp based< .NET Metro Style <<<< C++ Qt << C++ MFC <<< C++ WTL <<<<<< C++ Win32 gets the highest salaries...

Do you have any sources to back this up machan? Or are you just saying this because you develop in C++? :P:P

seriously? Does anyone do windows c++ development here in SL? The only company I know of which does c++ dev. is mit and I think they code on the linux platform?

    Am I missing something?

as far as I know game developers use c++ mostly so start looking what you want in game development industry.. but make sure you know at least about opengl or direct3d..

I heard Millennium IT(MIT) uses C++ for their development. For Linux platform they use Qt.It is cross platform.

Machan you won't be able to find UI engineers in small and mid range IT companies. Most of the time the developers also has to design and implement UIs. I saw earlier a person has stated that UI and QA is just drawing and testing... I really doubt about his experience...:rolleyes::rolleyes: Behind every successful IT product involvement of UI and QA is also really important.. :D:D:D

Try Virtusa... You can Start from 30-40k range

There is no engineering associated with the UI(at least for web UI and stand alone PC applications) designing. It's just designing. You think you know everything but you don't. Thanks for copy and paste lot of bull shit from internet.

    Starting salary 30k වගේ ගන්න පුලුවන්.
    මම දන්න UI Engineer කෙනෙක් ඉන්නවා IFS. 1ක් විතර salary ගන්නවා.
