The Prophet also forbade his Muslim followers not to hunt for game sports, like shooting birds and animals with bows and arrows. The killing of animals for sporting purposes like hunting is strictly forbidden.

යකො කොහොම උනත් මෙතන බල්ලව අල්ලන් ඉන්නෙ හම්බයො රෑලක් නේ යකො බල්ලෙක් දැක්කාහම මරන තොපි සක්කිලිනෙ දැන් ඉතින් බල්ලාගේ පක බැදලා අල්ලට දිපිය කන්ඩ.
