I'm not doing an LLB, I am a qualified in LAW LLB, Business Law. And currently an intern at the Colombo Law Faculty, High Courts for one of the disclosed civil lawyer lol. Anyhow the issue here is that the Maradana RTO (Regional Telecom Office) cannot amend or change Broadband related inquiries, they send the information to the engineer who is qualified to offer rendered services. I spoke to the engineer myself and he had claimed that no one has ever been granted or will be granted 120GB. I referenced him this thread and he Confirms that it should be a sham and no one can override a limit to provide 120 or any specific amount, As per his thread start date I can assume he indeed received a higher capacity but it will be soon re-set and will be followed by the proceedings of the TRC, as the TRC is now officially pushing for a official limit capsize for the older Broadband users. If I prove to the engineer that he indeed received 120GB I have the right/ability to request for everyone in this forum a increase of bandwidth limit to 120gb without any limitations, so the Main question is MadMan are you willing to provide your consent?

Anyway since you are into law stuff I wanted to ask this.. Everyone knows that what SLT does is illegal. I mean, we never signed up for a 40GB limit, what we bought was a purely unlimited package which we enjoyed for over 2-3 years. Why don't anyone go against SLT? If a large amount of people gather and file a lawsuit against SLT, is a backfire possible? Afaik it is not. Or is it? Please enlighten me.

No offense but if you provide me proof that your connection indeed receive 120GB then I can opt for everyone in this forum to get 120, as much as I wanted my limit to be upgraded I wanted everyone else's.

its not illegal. Anyhow the consumer can petition it saying they didn't provide quality of service, Even through you may have not signed up for a 40GB limited service, it depends on the QOS. You can definitely go against SLT, as few months ago it was even published on the Sunday Times where SLT declined and said they cannot offer such services as for such a growing market. What you can do is tho if a large number of people say they have been violated and had been fraud-ed by a huge corporation like SLT, then its within the organization to provide assistance at least, as because it is unfair to a huge number of people and this is stated in the law that if a large number of people have been found that any company had violated there terms as a principle can take action if they all handed proper complaints and regulated them with the proper authorities.
