Why Does my Windows 7 display look old school

Guys I upgraded my battery to a 9 cell and i don't know if that's what caused it, but now my windows looks super oldschool (like windows 98). The taskbar is all gray, the start button actually says star instead of showing a little windows icon. I'm sure it's just a setting i need to change but i dont know how to do it.

My laptop is Inspiron 1545

right click on your desktop and go to Personalize and then change ur current theme. i think u set it up to windows classic now, change it to something else like windows 7.

No bung cannot change any themes ne..all the other themes are grey colour..cannot be clicked

did u try to update win 7

you are not an admin of your own computer. this happens when the settings changed from admin to guest or some limited user. did u push installed any software? like any 3rd party theme?
