I'm making this thread to see what common Linux distros are people using other than main OS Microsoft Windows, or if not - their experiences with different Linux distros.

Well all know that there's a majority of free Linux Operating Systems, so feel free to comment on which distro you think is best in your preference.

Ubuntu is so far great. Though I wish they provide a full set of media and productivity software preinstalled. Like VLC and codecs, without the need of downloading them.
