Good one machan. Information is very helpful to new CIMA followers I guess.

For me PM is the hardest subject. Because it had lot of mathematical component earlier. But now the paper is changing. This time paper had more theory (more than 50%). The paper was reasonably OK. But trust me, it was out of Ravi's predictions.

What I see in CIMA students is, they highly depend on the lecturers as well as PREDICTIONS. But what you really need is "PRACTICE". I am agree with previous comments and the graph; it is 60% of student and 40% of lecturer.

Going to class and jotting down all the things will not help you passing CIMA machans. It is the practice u need guys. Do QUESTIONS as much as possible.

and YEAH gaje; he is really good. But i have heard people complaining him not giving much theories. But EO or EM; according to me DOES NOT NEED much theory. Trust me guys on this! U just put urselves into the questions and THINK.

But i went to gaje and failed.
then what i did was; I started doing questions by myself and got through next time. For EM I dont think you need any shit theory.

I have FM to do. Any suggestion for whom to go? Because some say Thriq but others say he is not gud!

Wow..i am mesmerized with your contribution...Thanks a lot

first it is true that CIMA has changed the structure of PM and now it has moved from Maths subject to a Decision Making side...

well Ravi..i can't comment much..but Hasitha was leading the PM subject for years and with his absence Ravi might got popular..anyway..clearly based on comments i got looks like there is a big vacuum in a good lecturer for PM....

further agree on predictions and its up to the student to work on his thing..so clearly it is the Self Study and Practice that will help students...

Gaje,,,well i always used to enjoy his lecs..but sadly i think i have to agree with your comment on his nptes..but apart from Gaje i dont see a very awesome lecturer for EO and EM...

for FM i would suggest Thariq but actually if it gets filled dont worry..study with any lecturer and work on SELF STUDYING...

For Managerial i don't think the dependency on the lecturer should be counted. I heard even though the Pm paper was tough Ravi has given some hints. But you never know what could be get tested. At my first attempt to Em tharindu gave one hell of a paper which i couldn't work on as i was busy with my training but that paper was almost 30% plagiarized :D

This is true :) study with any lecturer and work on SELF STUDYING

Hi Doonga..ur welcome on ur comment...let me ask u few things...
where u stay buddy ? and do u do any other degree?
and how do u select the lecturers? depending on the name or easiness for you?

i am just asking these things because based on the lot of comments from this thread, majority is not bothered about the lecturer but really focused on self studying...

Colombo is too far for me. So I'm going for CIMA tuition in kandy. actually i was not very concerned about lectures till i saw this thread.. but you know there are very few lectures in kandy and i have no idea who are the best here. Anyway I'm not doing any other degree now, but I'm hoping to do one..

Machan based on ur comments i can see that ur in the right track.."actually i was not very concerned about lecture"......as we have found out from guys who know about CIMA well, it is mostly about
    "
Study with any lecturer and work on SELF" "..it is good that you are going to start a degree and if your moving out from Kandy let's try to find out the best way you can study..

Those who are iching to do PM and FS under Ravi and Sugeeth respectively get your self enrolled as the classes are becoming crowded and at a point they will stop taking people in :)

I respect your comment on Ravi and sugeeth..to be honest I see both sides of this..
first it is obviously awesome to go for these lecturers as they are considered among students as they are best..

On the other hand these classes get filled up like nothing just like AL mass classes..i wonder whether all get benefited from that..as the classes are high with disturbances..

well i have done PO & FO ...for both if u have the complete note , wt u have to do is practice the past papers...dats basically it :) i went to malaka and to shanil sir respectively ...they were superb ...their teaching is more than enough to pass ...didnt refer to any other books just went through their notes ....

well i targeted part C in both papers where you can easily score more than 30 :) ...
since i m doing the deg in the weekends ...i wont be able to go for managerial tution .....so i m planning to self study EO and sit on NOV :)

i felt em is the most difficult to get away.took 3 times for EM n delayed my progress by 1 yr.went to gaje for eo em es ps his theory part is lacking n very good for senario handling n practical thinking bt application of theory we have to learn. sugeeth n hasitha very good for their subs n i felt sugeeth z feeding me the knowledge thts hw good he is. felt performance subs are easy. having said tht ps nw remaing to complete strategy.

about degree is that i took faster track by doing london a/l at 16 completed degree at 20 bt if u went through the local system i tnk its better to do cima n get excemptions n complete the degree later.:D

im doing cima while working n hope to go for cfa aftr completion of cima

Hey Buddy thank you very much for your comments and bringing new dimension to the table :)

I heard the same comment about GAJE from lot of students that he is really awesome for practical stuff (EM, strategy and TOP)..but yes he might be having some in theory part ;)

you were spot on with Sugeeth and Hasitha, both are extraordinary ones :)

I have seen that London A/L students get lot of advantage from age wise..same way you have got it..Hats off for that..

interesting part was the last one..where you mentioned that local AL students do CIMA while working and get a degree soon :) Really this would enable them to fast track their corporate lives>>

All the best brother with your Strategy and CFA :)
