Million-dollar lights upgrade for Dambulla

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is in a race against time to do a million-dollar upgrade of the lighting system at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket stadium, in order to host matches at the venue during New Zealand’s scheduled visit to the country in November.
“We cannot be certain if we could get the lighting system in place before the New Zealand tour, but we are trying our best. We have already taken the initial steps but we would only be able to tell when Dambulla will be ready in another two weeks” said SLC Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga.
