Here's how to make an *.ico file in 30 seconds. No software to download...you need just a small picture. You can use *.gif, *.png and *.jpeg. Use this site: http://converticon.com/ to convert your picture to an *.ico file. If you want to change the icon on a folder !
step 01
Get Started
Step 02
Browse the image required to convert.
Step 03
Step 04
Select the picture and export
Step 05
Make sure icon label is blue and pick only 512 * 512
Step 06
Save the *.ico file
After conversion...
Go to the folder you need to insert the icon
Go to properties
Then
Go to Customize
Then
Change icon
